Koen Meershoek is a photographer from The Hague who took an unusual path into his craft. Photography began as a passion, but it was his work as a filmmaker at 3MP - film & photography that reignited that passion.

As co-owner of 3MP, he works closely with Paul Scholte and Maarten van Nierop, both trained as architects at TU Delft, and it's this collaboration that has shaped his view of the built environment. Through their eyes, he learned to look at space, light and structure, and became fascinated with architecture as a subject.

That fascination is now the common thread running through his photographic work.
